Trying to reach the devs for a Twitch interview

Post by Arvan Eleron »

Hi all,

I'm trying to get a hold of the folks from Almost Human to arrange a chat on my stream when Legend of Grimrock 2 releases in mid-October. By way of quick background: I'm an author and college professor with a well-established channel on Twitch, focusing in particular on story and narrative focused games like RPGs, adventure titles and so on. Among other appearances, in the recent past I've had one of the lead writers for Larian Studios' Divinity: Original Sin, the audio and content manager for Ubisoft Montpellier's Valiant Hearts, the executive producer, project lead and lead writer for Harebrained Schemes' Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall, the developers and composer for Stoic Studio's The Banner Saga and the developer for Paper Sorcerer on stream to talk about the process of development and answer some questions from my viewers, and I've even had developers from Telltale Game's The Wolf Among Us stop by to chat as well. In short, this is an experience my viewers are very familiar with and always enjoy.

Legend of Grimrock was the first game I ever streamed on Twitch back in April of 2012, and I loved every minute of it; I'm obviously really excited for LoG II. I know how busy the Almost Human folks will be, but I would love the opportunity to have a few of them on my channel for an hour or two when the game releases next month, while I begin to play through it, to talk about the experience of developing both games, some of the differences in LoGII, and perhaps the future of the franchise. I have nearly 2100 followers on Twitch now, many of whom make their way to my channel when I stream a particular game, and while I can't predict if we'll have 50 or 500 viewers at any given moment, I can promise a dedicated group of interested people who will have some good questions and be able to provide the game some much deserved exposure in the video game community.

I've tried tweeting Almost Human, but wanted to try here as well in case they don't monitor that account as frequently. If they frequent this forum, or if someone reading this can get a hold of them, I'd really appreciate making the connection.

Thanks!

Would love to see an interview with the devs, but not while the game was being streamed. At least not until I've had the time to play through it myself. That goes double for a game with lots of puzzles you're supposed to solve.

Absolutely--I generally am only able to play the first couple of hours during an interview (usually doesn't go longer than that...the guys need to get some rest eventually, after all :) ), so very little would actually be spoiled. But of course people don't have to watch until after they've played through the first part of the game if that concerns them--in my experience, though, far more people want to watch and get a sense of the game, and end up buying it as a result, so everyone I've ever had on from Stoic, Larian, Tin Man, Harebrained and many others have found it's worked out well for them.

These forums are not so high-bandwidth that you'd need to do that. Please don't.
