I don't need a demo, but it might convince more people to buy the game.
Especially if they're not sure LoG 2 will run well on their computer.

I suppose.
I bought LoG due to seeing friends playing it, and eventually trying it at a friend's house.
Usually, videos/reviews give me an idea of if I want to buy a game or not, and system requirements let me know if I can run it.
Though I'm not opposed to a demo. It'd be kind of cool if it was a self contained mini dungeon unrelated to the games layout and story.

Just use the original game as the demo if you haven't played it. It would be a shame if you cheated yourself out of that experience.
