Be quick twigroot tunnels

Hi, i have a problem in area of twigroot tunnels i guess. There is a door where is written "be quick". You press the button standing on closed pit but it always opens sooner than the door opens so it seems impossible for me to pass through. Any ideas hwo to do it?

Step back and wait for the door to fully open before going over.

"Be Quick" does not necessarily mean that you have to step into that door first.

Press the bottom and then run back down the wall way. The Stone Face is going to shoot you so move to the side once it has fired run back down the hallway and the pit should be closed and door should be open but only for a vary short time.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
