I never meant to infer that and I even clarified what I meant in the post directly above yours, so I'm not sure why I'm being misrepresented. I get the feeling you and FlashSoul aren't really reading what I'm writing, or at least are thinking linearly - as in, "if there is treasure, I MUST get all the treasure in this game, or this game is borked!" I don't subscribe to that logic because I think there is more than one way to enjoy a game, and truthfully for me, had I of found a small bag with some herbs in it not directly linked to a treasure map in the game because I choose to randomly dig in a few places on the map, I'd be ecstatic over it! And what would I receive for all my hard work? A bag to store goods in, perhaps some herbs, maybe some food, and possibly ammo (assuming the designers don't alter the way ammo works). It's not like I'd find "teh godz!y h0ly P4l4din sord!!111" And that is really the point here, and the point which is being overlooked, that I'm not suggesting *important* buried treasure, not by any stretch, but just some obscure random common items that would have no bearing on the average players game, but to someone who enjoys exploring every nook and cranny, could be a rich and rewarding experience beyond the standard flare of the game.Mystina Valeth wrote:Have you ever done the digging mini game in Zelda - A Link to the Past? Well I only read your one post and had to comment on it before reading any more posts, so yeah lol, didn't see your other till afterwards.Taem wrote:I never meant to infer that and I even clarified what I meant in the post directly above yours, so I'm not sure why I'm being misrepresented. The recent King's Bounty games have this same feature, but in those there are hints for those that notice; rather than random spots filled with random items.Taem wrote:I would love to see treasure *randomly* generated on levels at game creation for explorers who dare to dig their game away.
