I like that you're discouraged from digging too much by how ugly the island gets if you do it all. Well done on finding treasure chests though - most of them don't have really obvious clue landmarks.

Have you ever done the digging mini game in Zelda - A Link to the Past? It's so annoying trying to dig up that random heart piece... and you want to do it to the whole game instead of a small closed of area? You're mad.
I never meant to infer that and I even clarified what I meant in the post directly above yours, so I'm not sure why I'm being misrepresented. I get the feeling you and FlashSoul aren't really reading what I'm writing, or at least are thinking linearly - as in, "if there is treasure, I MUST get all the treasure in this game, or this game is borked!" I don't subscribe to that logic because I think there is more than one way to enjoy a game, and truthfully for me, had I of found a small bag with some herbs in it not directly linked to a treasure map in the game because I choose to randomly dig in a few places on the map, I'd be ecstatic over it! And what would I receive for all my hard work? A bag to store goods in, perhaps some herbs, maybe some food, and possibly ammo (assuming the designers don't alter the way ammo works). It's not like I'd find "teh godz!y h0ly P4l4din sord!!111" And that is really the point here, and the point which is being overlooked, that I'm not suggesting *important* buried treasure, not by any stretch, but just some obscure random common items that would have no bearing on the average players game, but to someone who enjoys exploring every nook and cranny, could be a rich and rewarding experience beyond the standard flare of the game.

The recent King's Bounty games have this same feature, but in those there are hints for those that notice; rather than random spots filled with random items.

I would've liked to see some turtle eggs buried on the beach or stuff like that.

I actually dug up the entire island.
Because it looked so horrible after doing so I always saved before I dug an area and reloaded.
I had found most of the treasures that are referenced in notes before I found them.
Each time I would find a large enough section I would pull out my shovel and methodically dig. Then reload. If I found a chest I would og back to that exact spot after reload and dig.
Initially I figured that was the point to uncover secrets and then I found more and more of the notes.

One method is of course the brute force method the other is more elegant. I tend to like both.
I recall trying to figure out codes in old old school games and sitting there with a piece of paper writing every combination possible and then working through that list. Now of course you can easily just code it to figure out the list.
There is something rewarding going square to square in the hopes of finding a secret.

I easily got all 11 treasures by end game this way as there is no fail in finding them if you simply just take the time to dig everywhere.

Found anything interesting beside the 11 treasures?
