Does dex affect the accuracy of firearms?

Hi, made an alchemist and naturally gave him a fire arm, i know dex doesn't affect the base firearm damage as it doesn't say (base damge)+dex in the tooltip like it does with various light weapons, but does dex increase accuracy on firearms and other ranged weapons? i read the original grimrock that dex didn't affect accuracy on ranged weapons but I'm thinking it does now as my firearm does miss quite often!

Dex affects the accuracy of everything except spells. in Grimrock 1 ranged weapons couldn't miss but that is no longer the case

Thanks thought as much, Also if i pick a rock or something off the ground then immediately throw it at the enemy how does the game know who threw it? As no one actually had the throwing weapon equipped! Im guessing you'd get the weapons base damage but the stregth/dex bonus would not be added, nor would any accuracy bonuses.

Throwing stuff in that manner basically does a couple of damage usually at most and misses a lot. Unless its a bomb which cant miss.
