Help with a puzzle at the start of game

I am stuck and need some help. I just got the game and still learning how to play. I have gotten to the door that says "X marks the spot" but I cant figure out the floor puzzle. What do I do to get past this part? Thanks for any help.

Yup! I see myself stuck already. Might have another post up for help soon but good lord I love this game! Cant believe I missed out on it this long by not trying the first one and this one sooner.
