So LOG has a "max save game" limit - where it will say that the directory is out of room and to delete or save over an existing game.
It'd be nice to have it so you can change directories as to where the game is saving. This way you don't have to over write existing save games. But more importantly if someone in your household (say your wife) suddenly wants to give LOG2 a swing - I could create a directory that she could save her games and restore them, without over writing my own.
Unless this is already possible, and I just don't see it?

Re: Feature Request: Change Directory.
It plops all the save files into My Documents (or just Documents) -> Almost Human -> Legend of Grimrock 2.
So just cut (CTRL + X) all the saves and put them somewhere else, allowing someone else in the household to have their own saves. And then when you want to play, just cut (CTRL + X) all their files into someplace else, and put your saves back into the folder.
Its a dirty solution, but it works.

Well, that's what I am going to do if the wife decides she does want to play. But it'd be nice, if when you SAVE/LOAD, it prompts you for a directory to load/save from/to.
Obviously this may not be possible in LOG2 since it's out and everything, but if there ever is a LOG3, something to consider, if possible.

I think coding in a prompt for a directory would be HARDER than simply making it so that you can have more save files in the same location.

Aye both LoG1 and LoG2 have a 100 save game limit. Don't tell me you already hit it with LoG2Sir Tawmis wrote:So LOG has a "max save game" limit - where it will say that the directory is out of room and to delete or save over an existing game.
It took me 2 years and a whole bunch of mods to reach that limit with LoG1.
Re: Feature Request: Change Directory.
Both are certainly possible to patch in. The question becomes, how far down the priority/patch list does it fall? The guys are exhausted and in need of at least a short break. But, keep this idea in mind. Either Petri has seen and noted it for future consideration, or more likely, in 3 or 4 months he will schedule an impromptu "Glogg" session. This is where he will give us a time to meet here, and he will clear his schedule for an evening, get out some drink (comparable to beer for most of us), and create a thread where we can post feature/modding requests real-time. And if it's doable without too much faff, he will code it in, on the spot, for the next patch release. IF this were to happen, it would be down the road after the guys have gotten some well deserved R&R, and any prominent bugs have been patched. It is something he may find time for "after the work is done" on the game.
Currently conspiring with many modders on the "Legends of the Northern Realms"project.

Re: Feature Request: Change Directory.
I have. I never hit the 100 limit apparently in LOG1 (smaller, I suppose). In LOG2, I typically just saved in a new slot, even if I was in the same area (because I never knew there was 100 SG slot limit). I suppose I could purge the older saves and clear some room.Dr.Disaster wrote:Aye both LoG1 and LoG2 have a 100 save game limit. Re: Feature Request: Change Directory.
Oh yeah, I don't even expect this to happen for LOG2. Somewhere in the thread, I mentioned that - that it might be nice if there's a LOG3 to do this. That way we could have our own directories. But even then, it's such a low level, trivial thing to request (clearly, because I think I am the only one who has asked for it!) I had my wife help me with one of the riddles and she became potentially interested in playing. Of course, we could always just label our save games with our name first so that there's no worry of over writing one another's games or something. So yeah...msyblade wrote:Both are certainly possible to patch in. The question becomes, how far down the priority/patch list does it fall?
