Any plans for expansions?

Post by Belligero »

Is it possible Almost Human may make expansion content for us or will they start working on LoG3 after they are done patching up this game?

From what I heard AH do not plan any expansion or DLC. I hope they will focus even more on modding comunity support, so new custom-dungeons could be made and you can play it :)

The expansions here are the amazing wondrous things the modding community will build and share with us.
With the better tools I am really optimistic too.

I am still playing mods from LoG1 and am often impressed.

Mods are nice and all but I'd pay $ for an official add-on, because Almost Human knows what they're doing - they are the only true Dungeon Master for LoG.

There were only a couple mods in LoG1 that were worth a damn, and the best one - Master Quest - was just a rehash of the main game

This statement gets me thinking...
Did you actually play at least half of the actual 152 Mods that are available currently at the Nexus?
I know it is your opinion so not wanting to change that but did you?

As far as I know the modding and the games actually relate.
perhaps it is coincidence or intentional or none of the above but...
quite a few new features that debuted in the modding community in LoG1 were in LoG2
of course cross inspiration and such is common yet still...

I would not mind at all additional content from AH themselves. However I know full well that they are working diligently on the editing tools and that is going to birth some genius mods just like last time.

I suppose if one is going from the perspective of that which is not like AH's creation is not good than Master Quest and a handful of others would be more like custom additions of the original. If however you are looking to delve into the minds of some really amazingly brilliant new people the mods are bloody amazing!

He did specify "worth a damn". (I'd submit - no offense to Komag - that there's more than one mod better than Master Quest, though.)
Grimrock 1 dungeon
Grimrock 2 resources
