Is this intended, a glitch or a bug?

Post by Dr.Disaster »

While working thru the mines with a lone potionless wizard i discovered something interesting regarding poisoned characters and poison immunity.

My wizard's poison resists are usually less then 100 so he's not poison immune. Yet he has the Serpent Bracer with him all the time and equipping it boosts his poison resists beyond 100 for poison immunity. Now in case he gets poisoned and then equips the Serpent Bracer his status "poisoned" naturally does not go away BUT any poison damage normally applied to him by the poison status - noticeable by the usual grunt - is now nullified!

So instead of running for a crystal to cure+heal all he has to do is wait until the poison status clears itself and then remove Serpent Bracer again :D

I personally think that is the "correct" solution. Your body still contains the poison (while it wears off), but your protected magically against the damage that the poison deals to you.

In game-play terms, I also think it's a nice balance - at one end of the scale, wearing the bracer after you have been poisoned could do nothing (but the damage is over time, so that doesn't really make sense in my head) and at the other end of the scale - having a resistance of 100 instantly cure the poison means you just have to have a few of these items and be able to instantly cure-all "over-time" damage. I think this balance is pretty good :).

Just my 2p!
