Deluxe edition.

Post by Dandy »

Everyone is at it.
Offer a deluxe edition, at extra cost, with the promise of a free first expansion, or access to the beta of the first expansion. Barring that, offer a bit of digital krap, or even a full colour poster of Perti in his underpants. Anything really, as long as it give's fans of the game a opportunity to give you more money if they so wish.

Those so called "digital deluxe editions" with exclusive content are a serious recent plague in videogames, let's not introduce the concept in indie games...

If you insist you may also buy several copies of LoG for your friends & family members :)

In all seriousness, a LoG premium edition would be easy to do.

- Whack together a pdf art book from the game (plus maybe a bunch of wireframes and concept art)
- Make a soundtrack (yeah, mostly ambience)

Depends on how much it is. If it's within my price point I'll be buying a couple copies to give away as a contest.

In all seriousness, how cool would it be if all that stuff came free with the standard purchase like it used to?
