Any Sorcerer striking up concentration x 3 can wield a Virge - the special attack is 'disintegration' and as far as I can see, this will take out every single monster in the game within 5 seconds each. It's just like pressing K in the game editor! K - monster gone! It never fails and never misses! The only monster I can think of that might evade this Virge would be the Wizard (enemy) because he can deploy clones and teleport to any location.
Once your team has gained this item, it seems to me you don't need the team! the Sorcerer on his own, can by brute force with this mighty weapon, literally disintegrate his team /himself out of any confrontation!
In my view the skill needed to apply the special attack 'disintegration' is pitched too low - it should be more like 30 concentration not 3 or require other skill combinations to work.
Having seen this in action I am highly tempted to say "just don't include this item" in your game at all - all other items are less powerful - although some like the staff that invokes a forcefield come close.
Have you included this item in your custom game? I would be interested to hear if you have and whether your team found the Virge then the game was pretty easy after that!!

You get the Wizard's Virge after completing the game - there's nothing left to do except go back and get any secrets you missed, which isn't likely to involve any significant combat challenges. The Master Key lets you bypass puzzles, why aren't you complaining about that instead?

Re: Wizard's Virge far too powerful.
which sub forum is the right one?
You get the Wizard's Virge after completing the game, that sounds about right.
IMHO this item should not be in the mod assets, prob along with the Master Key both should not have been included BUT here are the forums to spread the word
So ... have you included this item in your custom game? I would be interested to hear if you have !

Have you completed Legend of Grimrock 2? They are in the assets because they are a part of the game. You get them at the very end of the game.Halluinoid wrote:which sub forum is the right one?

Of course they are not useful in mods. Neither are lindworm_cinematic_tower or many of the items or many other objects. But they are still included in the data because they are needed in the main game.
