Weapons.
Hi I'm new to the game having just bought it for my iPad.
Is there really just Six of each weapon type ? I.e six swords, six hammers etc ?
John.

Re: Weapons.
Aye, more or less. It does not sound that overwhelming at first but you need to consider that in LoG 1 melee is in general limited to the front rank. The exception to that are characters that use legionary spears (a rather weak weapon) or Rogues who learned the Reach trait.
In addition there is no real dual wielding. Of course a character can hold two weapons in his hands i.e. a sword and a dagger. Yet s/he can only attack with the weapon clicked on and right after that attack both hands go into cooldown rendering a second weapon unusable.

Re: Weapons.
Ok don't think I've ever played a game with so few item upgrades. Disappointed.
Re: Weapons.
This thread is telling.
I see so many "dungeon" game apps that have basically nothing in the way of a well-crafted dungeon, no intelligent puzzles, nothing but mindless hallways and rooms (often random generated, which is the worst) full of endless hoards of baddies to fight, Fight Fight Fight. But oh, there are like 260 different swords, 300 different spells, 1000's of combinations of armor sets, etc etc. It's INSANE!
That's just my personal opinion. And this thread is the proof of why all those games exist.

Re: Weapons.
It's possibly a misconception caused by action focused rogue-likes i.e. Diablo. There it's mostly about equipment build-up.
Don't be. Item/gear upgrades are not the focus in a dungeon crawl. It's more about using what you can find and making the most out of it. For example in most games players won't care about holding on to simple rocks but in dungeon crawls they can make a huge difference.Squiggymonster wrote:Ok don't think I've ever played a game with so few item upgrades. Re: Weapons.
I found in the previous game the sword that I really liked. I mean "Dismantler". Does it damage during a lightning strike on the degree studying magic air?

I think what he wanted to know was:Dr.Disaster wrote:Aye it does it's regular melee damage plus some shock damage.Nathaniel wrote:I found in the previous game the sword that I really liked. I mean "Dismantler". Does it damage during a lightning strike on the degree studying magic air?
Does the Dismantler's lightning damage increase with the wielder's air magic skill?

Re: Weapons.
I can't tell but doubt it. After all it's an effect caused by an item, not a character casting a spell.Zo Kath Ra wrote:I think what he wanted to know was:Dr.Disaster wrote:Aye it does it's regular melee damage plus some shock damage.Nathaniel wrote:I found in the previous game the sword that I really liked. Maybe someone with a lot deeper insights into LoG1 can tell like Komag or minmay.
Re: Weapons.
The Dismantler always has a 25% chance to create a shockburst on hit and the attack power appears to always be a constant 30. I think the attack power for a shockburst spell cast normally is 25+floor(skill/4) but don't quote me on this.
