A long time ago I heard something about skill/race/ect mods

What ever happened to that? I haven't touched Legend of Grimrock 2 in over two months because there became nothing left to do, I've done all the dungeons that interest me, I just want modded character content.

Does LoG2 support that at all?

Yes. It's just that nobody seems to have released any mods with significant changes yet.
