Personally thinking about ditching a rogue in favor of a 2-fighter, 2-mage party (but I'm sure I'll be kicking myself somewhere down in the dungeon where those skills would come in handy). I hate lugging a rogue around because they're rarely all that useful and can't carry their weight in a fight, but you always feel like you need to drag one along because you might want their lockpicking skills or something. Stupid rogues.

Daniel.
Melee rouge in the front, one "assault" focus mage, one "support" focus mage.

I think the double mage idea has a lot to it, I know what you mean about lugging Rogues along, who knows where one would come in handy! That being said I suspect you can get away without one just fine.
I'd love to see 4 x Mage, FIREBALLS EVERYWHERE!
Daniel.

two fighters in front, rouge and mage behind, second playthrough not sure, I probably chose the pre made chars for the first playthough, but yeah for mages might be fun, if not a bit tricky

Hopefully this won't be the case.
If they don't go light on the traps, it should be truly painful to not have them in the party. And if their combat skills are balanced properly, there's no reason they shouldn't carry their weight in a fight. Hopefully they are versatile there. Able to deal damage equally whether ranged or melee, fragile but more difficult to hit than a Fighter. Perfect character to rotate in to the front lines if a tank needs a break, but not twiddling their thumbs while standing in the back.

I always use multi-class characters, but I guess not this time

2xFighter 2xMage for me... Although I think I will try 4xMage at some point, I do prefer playing casters over melee.

4 mages with 4x MON FUL IR ready
i hope the spell system works the same as in Dungeon Master.
realistic:
2 Fighter/Thief ( Conan / Sonja )
2 Mage ( Gothmog, currently unknown )
and i hope somewhere in the dungeon is a respawing point of some monsters
and that they will patch the game, so i can play it with only one character ( please with achievement on steam

)
btw. can i run into my own (fireball) cast?

Bit of a slow fireball then, don't you think?

As I did in Dungeon Master, I'll likely take 3 pre-rolled characters through, with a single custom rolled character to be my avatar (3 pre-rolled, 1 rolled). All except my proxy will be named after the legendary heroes I journeyed with in Dungeon Master, of course.
