I read the review and it is fair although I disagree with the final rating. Some of the criticism I don't really understand. How do you want to build puzzles without switches in such a game? Combat is a matter of taste. I like it a lot. Some people seem to hate it... but you pointed that out in the review.

It wasn't that I didn't like the pressure plate, switch, and teleporter puzzles. I did like them. I just wish the game could have introduced some new concept. These are the same types of puzzles these games have always had (just maybe not always as well done). Maybe introduce more riddles / inventory based puzzles (although these in general aren't anything new either). I'm not a game designer, so I can't design I new feature off the top of my head, but I just would have liked more puzzles that felt different from what I have done in the past.

All things considered... "Technology/Graphics", "Story", Replayability", "Atmosphere/Environment", "Ease-of-Use" and "Overall Fun".

I rated the game an 8.5 out of 10 trying to be completely unbiased. I know it may not seem fair to not dive into a full-fledged review as to how I came up with the rating, but just as a summary, and a fantastic game without question. Personally, it's one of my favoite games that I've played in a long time!
