This game can only be considered indie as much as 90% of PC game/dev companies did when they first came about...Hell, even EA was indie, until they chose to mate with a daemon, but seriously, as far as the spirit of being indie, that will depend on how this company responds to their success in relation to their motivation in future projects.

In some respects, even Bethesda has remained true to their own indie spirit, as they still develop their games with the same dedication and innovation as in their first game Arena, just as CDPR and hopefully Almost Human will when the success of this title soon brings in more development dollars for future projects for this company.
