yeah, that's something we could use, setting a monster to go to a certain position, or flee the party in any direction, try to build as much distance, etc

From what I remember playing DM (long time ago), the first moment you heard the giggler you thought "Nooooo!!" and would do anything, close doors, run, to avoid him but those efforts almost always failed and he stole your stuff. Tracking him down was fun too.

Wouldn't it be great if the kleptowern stole an item, went "squawk squawk" and flew away at 5x speed. Then you find him later on the other side of the level, in his lair, sitting on a pile of stolen loot.

I revised the steal script in the original post... it now has a 60% chance to steal something from the champion it damaged and looks for any occupied slots in 1 - 8 and chooses an item at random. (yes it probably seems odd to steal a champions' chest armour, but it's a bird, and it could possibly rip it off somehow with it's claws)

This is primarily a proof of concept... you could easily change the monster, the % chance, or the slots that are stolen from.

Next I could really do with someone creating a "pile of rust" object to implement a "slime" that rusts things! Would probably need to be more careful with which items are affected... be weird if your leather armour suddenly turned to rust!

I'm not worried about chest armour much, but I'm not feeling comfortable with a monster ripping off my leather pants. Unless it's succubus
