+1 to the above posts. Ive learned lua, blender, GMT, and lots of design tricks since October. All due to the support of the community. I never hesitated to ask a question, and once I figured out how to do something (with help), It became second nature. Think I'm trying to say, please dont hesitate to ask questions, around here we enjoy being helpful, or being the guy with the answer. None of us know how to do everything, we all tap into each other as valuable resources.

I dont really consider other peoples work in how it affects mine. They are like fingerprints, in that each is unique, a different experience. I take comfort in knowing i get to make one, regardless of where it falls in the opinion poll. If the community wasn't good at making them and I had the best mod; or if the community was excellent at it and I had the worst mod; It is the same creation, for the same reasons. I cannot predict the creativity of others, But i can control my world :).
Currently conspiring with many modders on the "Legends of the Northern Realms"project.

I don't know whether Diarmuid's and msyblade's posts are frightening or reassuring given their current talent for putting together scripts.

Some modders obviously take to scripting and modelling like a duck to water while others (such as myself) take to it like a duck to the Sahara Desert! I still don't know what that damn little i and j means in scripts and I've had the Grimrock editor since late December! :? Maybe I should read some lua manuals (perhaps some of them even come with pretty pictures). ;)

All joking aside good advice from everyone.

Thank you all for your kind replies.

As msyblade pointed out I should take comfort in knowing I have the opportunity to create something I would not have had the chance to without the dungeon editor. Even if it's the ugliest baby in the nursery, it's still mine.

Onward and upward, uh I mean downward, I go.
