Heard that this game had a few bugs at launch, so even though I pre-ordered it I waited a week or two until after launch to play. I don't know whether the initial bug reports were just overblown or it's all been fixed - but it seems great now. As a fan of the board game - I'm loving it too! Ixnatifual! I don't know how much appeal it would have to a random gamer (it's a bit slow paced and it's useful to know what's going on under the hood to enjoy it) but as a fan of Board Games and strategy games, it's great!

Just tried it. Seems pretty good. I have not done the board game, but am reasonably experienced at both board games and warhammer 40,000 games. (Well, that doesn't have much to do with it but, it helps set the tone.)

It was enjoyable, the atmosphere is fun, especially the "cam-view" in the upper right corner. I knew what to expect even without having played the board game. It is the nature of all dice games that you sometimes have horrible luck frustrate you, even my human opponent readily agreed that are first match went his way through impressive last minute rolls, but that didn't mean it wasn't fun.

On a very minor front: I have a hard time believing even the Imperium would remember a battle with only 1,000 people 600 years later. That kind of obsession would force them to hunt down the location of every minor battle. But I'm very aware the plot is of no significance.
