I went back to the previous floor and when I back to the 4th, it was infested with spiders, I believe I kill at least a twenty or more. For a new party it's almost impossible.
I have 5 keys that seems useles so far: two ornate, two gear and one brass.
Oh, are you using the non-steam download? I haven't updated that yet, so if you're playing on that it would explain why nothing is working down there. Otherwise show me a picture of your map of the floor so far.
Unfortunately Grimrock doesn't allow saves to carry between version numbers as far as I've seen, so you'd be forced to play again. I really hate this, and you're not obligated to do so.

I updated it a while ago, you should be fine using that download link. I'm busy on making the LoG 2 port (mostly just the new areas) so there won't be LoG 1 updates for a while.

Well, since you're porting the module for grimrock 2, I think it's useless keep playing. Count me in to test the log2 when you're done

Hopefully that can happen soon, manual porting probably wouldn't be too bad, but I'd rather save time in the long run by waiting for a tool to come out, since I already see talk about coding going on. In the meantime I can give you the download for the new parts when they're done, it shouldn't take that much longer.
