I like it (though, it admittedly threw me off as well), because it's one of the puzzles (for the stone in the cemetery). Brahhh I thought East West was bugged, because I'm so used to other games where it actually points to the direction.
I think it's great you have a compass that actually does what it's supposed to do however adding a N for north would REALLY help people understand how a real compass works. Yay pedagogy! :V
