Yes, that was already reported. It happens if you klick too fast and often on the branch you just had slotted in. It is still possible to enter the hut.

Soon I will release an Update with the script which is responsible for that crash will be altered.

Got a bit quiet here. Let's change that... :D

I've uploaded a new version. See the first post of this thread for links. [It's available on both this time - Nexus and Dropbox! ]
  • Version 1.2 - 09 Apr 2017
    - fix of a problem with a new sky that caused a crash
    - fix of a problem with a lock (wasn't re-usable)
    - enabled functionallity of a new spell
    - three functions enhanced to avoid crashes
    - three models tidied up (no flat shading anymore)
    - several small fixes
And I've wrote a short FAQ which will be online on the second post of the thread - after a few minutes.

A few answers to left out questions:
ale78pc wrote: I'm in the laboratory, and I have a crash when I enter the teleporter after having used the blue gem.
The wizard appears, he gets closer and then I have the crash ...
[string "Sky.lua"]:0: attempt to index field 'stars' (a nil value)
Must have been a problem with my new sky-object. Should be fine now.
hansbleeb wrote:dear mod thom.. are you planning new versions (with xtra levels i hope) ?? then i wait for it and ply the whole game again
This project took more than two years of my life. I'm sure that I won't do anything like that again (unless someone will pay me for it ;) ).
Maybe I will do a small dungeon someday - but not in the near future, I'm afraid. But I did two rooms in the ORRR3 project You can play them - if it will be released someday...

Meanwhile have have fun...

I have been playing the game for several days and have gotten through a lot of riddles, but there are a few questions that I have that I want answers to, if possible.

1. Where is the swamp? Is it later in the game? are the mines later also? The reason I ask this is I am in the Hub and have 1 Hub key left over, but there are only 4 possible doors that I have already opened with the other keys. Am I missing something important? I found the 3-2-1 secret in the hub, so I am not sure if I am missing out on a secret hub portal, and would like to know.

2. In the gardens I solved every riddle and obtained all the scrolls, but the center door that you call a "secret, secret" does not open. I am convinced that the way to open it is to place an object on the central statue pedestal. Is this correct? When I place a "gem" of any color on the statue pedestal it becomes glued to said pedestal and is unmovable unless I reload my save. Is this part of the secret? or a bug of some sort?

3. In the tomb area where all of the plants are, there is writing on the wall talking about an open fire being the bane of the forest, I have literally no idea what it is telling me to do, as I have set various fires in various places via bombs/magic/lit torches, and have seen no effect, also is there a point to the rain maker switch, it makes it rain which is cool, but does it serve any other purpose?

4. In the tomb's maze of Didymos, there are several writings throughout that are various quotes from historical philosophers, do these serve any purpose what so ever? I have tried messing around with them but there is no interactivity. What are their purpose, if any in the maze.

5. Is the entire mirror armor set available in the tomb, specifically the maze? It is one of my favorite armor sets, and do not wish to pass it up before moving on. I found the head piece in the maze of Didymos if I remember correctly, so I was wondering if the pieces of said armor are connected to the writings in the maze. Please give me hints/solution, or flat out tell me that the armor cannot be found until later on/not at all.

6. Are there no shields in this game? I have been though the entire hub and have not found a single shield.

Thanks for the fun mod, the gardens especially were enjoyable, puzzle wise. If you could offer hints/solutions/answers to anything I have asked it would be appreciated. I am solving most of the main quest stuff on my own, but would like help with said optional quests, because my OCD collecting won't let me relax.

I like that :D

Sure!

Yes, both Swamp and Mine are way later in the game. The fifth key can be used then, too. The 3-2-1 note is a hint for a very secret secret in Laboratory. Maybe you find it - maybe not. Anway it's optional...

 Having items sticking to the statue is not intended. Have to check where this comes from. Beside that you are on a good way. Hint: You have to use more than one item...

The fire message: Keep it in mind for a later part. The rainmaker: just a gimmick (...yet - you give me notions...)

Confuse the player...

Yes it can be found in it's entirety in the tomb. But not in the maze. You have to find and activate a small "device" to get at it...
Rinpoo wrote:6. Are there no shields in this game? I have been though the entire hub and have not found a single shield.
Nearly none. The age of pirates and shields??

Thanks. 8-)

Hehe. Yes, the questions you are asking telling me, that you did all the main stuff by your own. Very good

Be prepared that you are not at the end, whe you leave the Laboratory. Definitly not at the end... :)

I already figured out the 3-2-1 secret, it leads to the orb. I just didn't want to spoil it for anybody else :D
THOM wrote::shock: Having items sticking to the statue is not intended. Have to check where this comes from. Beside that you are on a good way. Hint: You have to use more than one item...
Yes, any color gems get stuck, including the quartz if you put it on the pedestal it cannot be re picked up. This could lead to problems for people attempting to solve this puzzle. Follow up question, are said items to open the door contained entirely within the garden, or could it be items from any area?
THOM wrote:The fire message: Keep it in mind for a later part. The rainmaker: just a gimmick (...yet - you give me notions...)
Ah, I see thank you for telling me, it is good to keep it in mind for later. Also I think you should do more with the rainmaker, it is a neat little thing. Also if you decide to expand your mod, make a map that has rain and thunder if possible, just imagine a creepy cemetery with rain, thunder, and dark clouds ><. I would be epic.
THOM wrote:Confuse the player...
It worked, I was convinced they had purpose, and spent several hours in the maze attempting to find the Mirror armor set, haha.
THOM wrote:Yes it can be found in it's entirety in the tomb. But not in the maze. You have to find and activate a small "device" to get at it...

I will have to comb the upper floors of the tomb repeatedly then, I have found several small switches, specifically those by the throwing puzzle people got stuck on, that I have not entirely understood what they activate.

Yes, it has been frustrating at times, but I slowly make progress, I have pretty much completed the hub, but am trying to get some of the valuable optional things.

I forgot to ask last time, but the chest that is covered in "blue" magic in the mages library, can that be opened by certain means, and if so can I have a hint for that, it is the other thing that I cannot tell if it has a purpose.

yep

Would be great to have someone who was able to solve them all...

It just spawns mimic chests.

I am trying >< I don't know how close I am, but I got the mirror set, and solved the secret secret now, solved the hub secret. I am not sure if I am done with the mages library, yet. I still feel I might be missing a secret or something in there.
THOM wrote:It just spawns mimic chests.
I thought this might be the case, but it has been days and mimics do not spawn any longer, so I began to doubt whether or not the chest could or could not be opened.

I am pretty sure there is nothing left in the garden and plunder village for me at this point, since I solved what seems to be all the riddles. The tomb feels complete also, but I am not so sure about the mages library, I found all the books (including the tome of knowledge/wisdom,) got the mage cloths, and the hub key, but I feel like there is more to the library :o

Thanks for the hints, they reduced my time in figuring out the mirror armor set by hours, most likely. When you said "activate" I knew exactly what you were referring to

Concerning the Archive of Wizardry: Have a look at the map. Does it feel there is still something unsymmetrical?

It looks good to me so far, but here is my map of the area if you care to take a look, any input is good input to me.

As a side note, I notice a slight beginning of a pathway to the right of the 5 chests, I am not sure if I am crazy but I think it might open to a path to something, not sure though.
