I'm a little disappointed hearing that all the levels are the same size/grid. I was expecting (and hoping) for level design in the vein of some of the Wizardry games (most notably Wizardry 5) where every level is unpredictable and different shapes. Adds a great deal of excitement and mystery to every level.
So many of the more recent old school style dungeon crawlers have followed this 'every level is the same size grid system' and it's disappointing. Class of Heroes, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, etc... all square predictable maps.
