As I wrote in some other thread, I would love to partake in huge battles. Two armies meet and your group is part of one of them. I think the Grimrock animations would look extremely charming in this particular setting. I can already see the skeleton warriors and archers re-skinned to human appearance and a large war being waged against monsters, or even another mostly-human army.

Definitely tile based but how about an octagonal grid that would allow diagonal movement.

There are no elves, orcs, dwarves or furries in the world of Grimrock. That's just the way it is.

Yes, no more stereotypes, but I wouldn't mind dwarves... :D

What about "race" options for humans? Like Kingdom of origin options that give slight racial variants from base line human?

Sure, people from different parts of the world have different traits. Xafi people are cunning money lenders, the northern barbarians make dark pacts with deamons, people living in Nothampton tend to look down on others, men and women born in Malan Yera have mystical powers… just to give you an idea about the possibilities.

I think I would like that vary much. Between diverse humans and the handful of beast races (that could also have some of the same traits) that would allow of a vary large amount of personality to be given to a party.
