ok here's what I observe.
slugs which are locomoting and fighting me seem to react ok to stones being thrown.
slugs in guard mode, before I disturb them, act odd - I throw something and it hits them immediately. Bizarre. Until they have left that square they start off in things will still hit them instantly when thrown. No idea why, I will have to investigate.
I'm assuming that capsule stats in monster def relate to the collision capsule - i checked the domentions in 3dsmax against the snail skeleton and it all seems reasonable - I will keep tinkering for a bit.
<edit> I checked the binary data of the slug's capsule node against the snail from the asset pack and it matches exactly, so I am not sure yet what the fix will be.

So there is this "imaginary wall" of sorts, or a force field surrounding the snail for some reason that causes stones to "ricochet" into weird places? As a layman, this is how I understand the situation.

It's his collision box when in the "idle" animation, compared to motion animations. May be two different definitions and the slugs are missing one of them (Or has it and its causing a conflict), is likely. The item is hitting one of the slugs when it disappears.

Thanks for popping in, petri! I was hoping to see you.
That makes sense now...that explains why I was seeing the stone "vanish"...it was actually heat seeking to the latest slug! Very nice investigating, saurus.

You beauty - I had forgotten about the bounds data in the mesh entity, will go check that now.

Thx again.

Holy update. From 3 pages to four.
Looks like everything's getting to the right track though.

Woohoo! You're da MAN!
(Seriously, thanks for this. Your slugs really seemed to like it in my dungeon...one of them started sobbing as I reached for the [DELETE] key. I'm gonna have dreams about that for a long time.
