I loved Arcanum (although despite four run throughs every copy corrupted and self destructed before the end) And yes certain aspects do remind me of it. However I view grimrock more as a pure fantasy world with odd bits. For me I can't play the game without constant flashbacks to Stonekeep, even the secret buttons are just about the same. Okay that was off topic.
