I just realised that recently. I thought I could play today but noooooooo, we'll have to wait.
Worldwide simultanious release is Shazbot! It should unlock at midnight central european time. What are we waiting for? Where exactly is it midnight in about 20 hours? If I'm not completely mistaken, it's already the 12th in Australia at that point.
I hate this Valve time non-sense!

As I said, Valve time Shazbot all the way!
I'd love to at least download the launcher. I don't need Steam and it shouldn't dictate me a silly time that is completely unreal. That's not releasing on 11th, that's waiting until the 11th is over and 12th has begun.
Even if you don't take the date border as your standard and choose GMT instead, 1700 is damn late - especially for virtual distribution.

The problem with a digital release is it is a wordwide release. Anybody can download from Steam or GOG at any time, anywhere in the world. A retail copy at a store, can be released at midnight, because it is localized.

If they wait till it is the 11th everywhere in the world. It will actually be the 12th...just on the other side of the International Date Line.

This isn't true at all. You can easily restrict the release for parts of the world that it isn't midnight in, it's not hard.
