pretty sure anyone can download from a shared dropbox link without any signup or captcha or anything, and no ads or fake download links or junk like that, very clean and easy.

Great, that was what I had hoped! This still seems, to me, to be the simplest way then.

https://www.wetransfer.com/ is also a super easy service to send big files along, no one needs to set up accounts, either sender or receiver. Very fast and clean, I use it everyday.

Since I just finished my mod and just got a great idea, i'd like to reserve a room if possible?
A 9x9 deluxe room if possible? with roomservice?

Will you be having the three floor service, or two, sir?

Two is enough. I like to live good, but don't want to overdo it.
And the rates are better for 2 floors too, right?

Discussion has kind of fizzled out this past week, so I'd like to gather up all of our ducks and lay them out. Can we have Yays & Nays on the following conditions, please (and please offer any alternative suggestions you may have for any of the following)?
- Mode of transfer: Dropbox
Room size limitation: (9x9 by 3 floors)
Custom Assets: Selecting and loading all custom assets before the round begins
Are we scrapping the idea of a theme, or do we still want to go with something (see OP for suggestions made in this thread)?

I work very much in a spur of the moment kind of thing for grabbing assets for my room. I don't know if I could outline what I needed before hand.

Good to see some more activity here.
I like the dropbox idea. I looked it up and it seems pretty simple.
Even though I was a bit opposed to a rigid structure at first, I think it is a good idea and Diarmuids layout is very nicely done. (And I have a room prepped to fit in a space like that should I be chosen.)
The idea of custom assets be pre-assembled is interesting. While it would mean everyone participating would need to have their assets ready right away, it may help with preventing a bunch of duplicate assets.
I can go either way with that one.
As for the theme, the room I have is fairly generic so it could probably be fit into a theme somehow, but might be a stretch depending on the theme. While it would be fun to play a themed dungeon I would probably prefer a non themed dungeon for ease of integration.

I vote:
Dropbox: yes.
9x9x3 rooms: yes.
Predefined assets: no, but predefined tileset yes.
If size is a concern, then set the tileset for everyone as that's what takes most place, and let the designers add custom assets that fit with that tileset. I suggest temple as it's the most neutral, included in standard assets, and has the most custom stuff already available for it on the forum. Nothing prevents you from doing a red walls version if you need for you room, or a glass door for example.
