Congratulations, John. Surely does that mean that you have less time for the Grimrock Community than in the past.JohnWordsworth wrote:Hey Komag! Haha - Yeah, moved to Sweden about 6-7 months ago to work for Paradox Interactive.

I have had a little less than normal, but mostly from adjusting to a new country I guess as I used to work silly hours when I ran my own company! The main thing I miss is when I used to get random weeks here and there between clients - they were golden!

Re: [ORRR3] One Room Round Robin 3 - Pre-Discussion!
I have been working a lot on the floor plan this weekend for the ORRR3 and I wanted to share some progress. They are very much a draft at the moment, but it's starting to come together now.
Area Overview
A Couple of Floorplans
I don't envision any "rooms" per-se in the main town area, but I was thinking everyone could place notes/clues/little items there if they want to give a bit of preview information about their room(s). A bit of build up and all that.
Please don't ask to sign up for any rooms just yet - I will be making a proper sign-up thread soon!

Re: [ORRR3] One Room Round Robin 3 - Pre-Discussion!
Some additional notes and thoughts...
1. I am trying to design around the idea that each area (catacombs etc) will only require the player to complete 3 of the 4 rooms in that area to get the reward for that area. Completing all of the rooms gives you the equivalent to "spare keys" which you can basically trade in for treasures.
2. If people would like to design boss fights as well as / instead of a room, then I have left space in each area for a potential boss fight.
3. We can add the swamp to the south if there are enough designers.
4. I was thinking we could mix up the classes a bit (there has to be space for a Paladin of some sort and possibly a Witch class that can cast hexes and things but not normal spells).
5. Werewolf race?

Hi Dhomochevsky!
No problem at all having an outdoor level and 2 underground levels. I was thinking that all rooms should either be 9x9x3 or 12x12x2 (although, there is one 16x16x1 as well).
- Does 9x9x3 work for you (one overground, two underground)?
- Maybe "East of the Town" would work best for your room - it has 1 floor above ground at the moment and 1 floor in the sewer area (but it can just be dungeon / unconnected to the sewer). I can easily make it 2 floors underneath for your room.
