Do I have to use both hands, so that chop has a chance to be triggered? It seems that when I'm using a shield in the other hand my charakter does not chop at all. I tested it a couple of times: Without the shield, I'm able to chop sometimes (not too often).

Is this intentional? I can't find any information about it (if you have to use both hands to trigger chop).

Well, I do not want to put down my shield, but I think it makes sence for chopping to use both hands!

Does anyone know?

I don't know if holding a shield decreases your chances of triggering special attacks.
Most likely don't.

The higher your axe skill, the bigger chance the special attacks will happen.

I've been spoiled by playing AD&D-based titles. I wish there were huge tables that I could use to look up every single %.
