I collected the first round key, and opened the first wall

Revealing a skull that spits a white blob, quite obviously, this blob needs to travel to a hole on the opposite side, hidden by another wall, needing another key

I think to get that key you need to put a red gem (you have that right?) to a shelf in the room with a pressure plate (your last pic). The shelf may have been covered with a curtain so attack it to reveal it. Put something on the pressure plate to keep the door open. This is based just on my terrible memory so I hope it is correct.

Gotcha ! thanks ... i had used items in the alcoves, but I didn't think of using the red gem
