I missed many secrets and some which I intentionally left behind.

In one note I remember he talking about his dungeon that they ruined it.
Was the role of Toorum everl disclosed, was he an escapee or something else?

If there is an answer to be found, is it worth not knowing and be left for next play through to search for?

Not sure about that but you actually "meet" Toorum in the Dungeon later on, and well you only find more questions

The name Toorum reminds me of Torham Zed from DM2, my brother and I have a bet that it's a play on his name by the devs.
