Level 4 and 5 Rouge frustration

So, I have a Rouge that I specialise on Daggers. The problem is that I don't have a good one.
On Level 4
there is supposed to be something called Venom Edge. I'm assuming it's a dagger but I can't for the life of me find it.
What's really frustrating me though is on Level 5
I want that Fist Dagger but the gate just won't open! I marked the dragons, marked down where their lines of sight would cross on the map and then I stood there and rested. I rested there for about a full minute, no luck. Why won't that gate open? Do I actually have to rest or just stand there and wait a while?
I'm done with Level 5 completely. I'm sure I missed some things in the previous levels but on 5 I have everything. I really want to go to level 6 but refuse to do so until my Rouge has a proper weapon.

you have to actually rest... as in Press "R" and wait a while. for me, it didnt took much more than 10 or 15 seconds... just the enough for my guys to heal up. once you get the Punch Dagger, you can forget the Venom... I never really used the Venom Edge actually.

Hm, I never found the venom edge. As for what the above guy said, yeah, just rest for 10-15 seconds. If it doesnt work, you're in the wrong spot.

Wrong spot? I don't think I am.
It's the following, right?
At a T-crossing, pretty near the room with the dagger in it.
Edit: just to clarify the spot:
When facing the gate it's left, left, front, front. That should be the spot. It's just not working.

Actually, IIRC resting at the spot where the dragon's gazes meet opens the door across from the gates to the exit to level 6. The secret room with the dagger is located directly ahead of the first iron door you open and is accessed by a button nearby.

Keep going the Assassin's Dagger at Level7 is Amazing

It indeed is, i ditched all my daggers! (lol!) regular, venom and punch when i got this cutie.

You don't need to REST. You can just wait there for a while.
