Not for the current map but on future maps or when the map editor comes out there could be glyphs on the walls or scrools that could only be read by a specific race, there could also be a trait that allowed the character to know all languages, and a mage skills that allowed to learn languages, like if the mage had X amount of points in spellcraft he would be able to speak human and minotaur languages, if the player gets 5 more spellcraft points he would get lizardman and insectoid language.
