Thanks for the great game!

I had not heard much about this game, other than GOG saying they were gonna sell it. The idea of dungeon crawler and old school gaming did peak my interest. After a little debate and a few people saying how much fun it was i decided to pony up the 14 bucks and buy it.. These days with the price of gaming, and the idea of indy games i thought sure why not. the price honestly left me a bit, shall we say lower on the expectations. I thought, ehh it is probably a shorter game and might have some flaws, but for 14 bucks ill live..


Well i couldn't have been farther from the truth. I must say this game is one of the most fun, and enjoyable game play experiences i have had in years. The graphics and animations look amazing. The feel, the puzzles, the style.. I just couldn't be happier.

Another thing i've notice is how polished the game is. The way items are placed, and the puzzles have been really thought out very well. I also love how bug free it has been. the game has run absolutely flawless on my system, and after a good 12-15 hours of game play, i can say i haven’t experiences a single crash or bug.

The puzzles are very well done and when i figure them out the game makes me feel smarter! It is an adventure game yet based in logic, which is something that is so refreshing. Sitting and thinking pays off, vrs just taking random items and trying to stick them into holes or what not till you get lucky. The other part i noticed is it really gives me that feeling of playing pnp dungeons and dragons. the only thing that makes me sad, is that i know i will finish it sooner than later and i will be itching for Grimrock 2!

I would love to see a dungeon crawl through Icy caverns, or break into some mages temple.. or any number of things that i could crawl through..



About my only complaints, is i would really love to be able to see my 4 party members, and see them in style. I love to customize looks, along with powers.. Even a better paper doll would be an upgrade, to help me envision my party members.

But outside of that, i swear i haven’t a single complaint. The game is just absolutely fantastic and so worth the price i don't even know how you did it. I look forward to the next adventure in this style.. Please don't keep me waiting to long...


If only other games gave this much gameplay, and polish at this price.... You guys could teach those AAA companies a thing or two about how to make a game right.

I agree with you with the Terms above, this is a awesome game and I never had so much joy in years with any game. It brings out old memories, is difficult like it should and all in all very fun! It will be one of the few games, I will play over and over. I will be looking very forward to further content and Editor being released. I hope that DLC's or expansion will follow the old NWN 1 thematic, where we will find new textures, monsters, classes and weapons packed up in nice Addons.
