Custom Portraits?

So I looked at the patch changelog and it noted custom portraits. Assuming that means being able to upload your own portraits how does that work? I searched around and can't figure it out. Help?

That's right, start a new game, select create characters, then click import portrait, all the details are there when you mouseover.
Plenty of ready made portraits by fans to, try here,
