A question on monster behavior.

I was wondering, about the monsters and their patrolling behaviors when they don't have LoS on you.

Is that a part of the monster AI? or from a dungeon editing standpoint, are there triggers designating the paths they take? Or a combination?

That's a really great question. I'd love to hear the devs chime in about this.

I've seen some different patrolling behaviors from different types of enemies.

This.

I've been down a few pits now and once or twice I've seen skeletoons (Platoons of skeletons) walk just by the hall i was in and not notice me until an archer did. Same with the fire guys.

I'm basically curious about the behaviours of all the monsters, I know slimes have no facing per se but they seem to all have variances in the amount of interest in pursuing the player. Not that I want to find out behaviour exploits but we do need this info for dungeon design.
