level 12 HELP! (killing that)

fairly far in level 12, there is a thing,

i have removed all its parts again,

but its still not dead. HELP! if youve gotten far enough youll know what i mean.

Just keep beating on it while you kite it around. It'll die.

some of the enemies it kills will drop keys that unlock the rooms in the area you fight him, and they hold lightning rods in them. you can pick them up and equip them on your party and just zap him to oblivion, using the weapon of power at the same time to do the same thing.

will only lightning rods and the weapon of power hurt him? all things say they are doing 0 damage

On my first play through I beat him mainly with fire and ice spells; maybe a couple melee swings if he got too close. I didn't know about the keys dropping for locked rooms so I never picked up a rod.

On my second play through I tore him down ridiculously fast with just a bow. It really doesn't take much damage to kill him. I was going to see about unlocking a door or two just for fun, but, the bow was so quick I didn't bother chasing mobs down to collect keys.

Oh, and both play throughs were on hard mode.

i've spent at least a half hour running around, i have 21 arrows on my archer and i've had to regather them about ten times, i've also been hitting him with many melle attacks, bombs and other throwing weapons. Everything says 0 damage when it hits him. am i doing something wrong?

Look like you did not remove all the part then, when you remove the fourth part, he become to glow red, and can't be stunned anymore, then you can attack it

You have to remove the same number of parts as you had to insert. Until you remove all the parts you will do absolutely no damage to him.

Once you rip all the parts off it, just use lightning against it. i don't know that it's "only" vulnerable to lightning. I do know that lightning will do the job. Before you rip the parts, just use the special weapon against it.

its glowing red now, only the power weapon seems to be hurting it, are you sure other weapons do damage? how much health does this thing have, its simply not dying.
