Here are a couple videos I edited with some filters

The first one is supposedly the level of SNES or Genesis:
[link removed, video was dumb, sorry]

The second one is supposedly the level of NES or Atari ST:

of course I know these old systems could never handle the polygons, animation, sounds, etc, but this was just for fun to see the "stylized" graphics ;)

(I was inspired to do these videos after seeing Sol_HSA's oldskool thread)
(the original video is by acare84)

Last one, even worse! So I decided this one is the Commodore 64 one:

The graphics would have been adapted to support the appropriate palette. Just downgrading the palette from 16,777,000 colors to 16 isn't the right thing to do to give an idea of what it would have been on the ST.

After all, Dungeon Master was on the ST and it looked awesome.

Yeah, you're right, they would of course be careful to make the colors match what can be done, and make the words readable, etc, but this is still sorta neat to see the "potential"

If the music and sound effects were also 'ported' these videos would be much better.

I thought of that - not sure how to try it though. I suppose there are some audio filters out there than can reduce the fidelity/quality

I played both Dungeon Master games and Wizardry 6 on an Amiga 2000.

Nice! I bet that was just about the best way to play them at the time!

Daniel.

oh yeah, sorry, I just decided they were really just pretty lame and worthless, so I cleared them out of my video catalog on YouTube.
