Playing Through Dungeon Master (SNES)

Dungeon Master on SNES is actually a pretty good port. The main problem is the standard SNES controller is a pain to use. Go figure.

Anyway using an emulator and an Hori Ex2 Xbox controller, I find it quite enjoyable. Some of the ambient sound effects like water drips and the occasional music cue adds to the overall experience in my opinion.

Perhaps I'm crazy for liking this version and maybe I am, but man is this game enjoyable. :D

But you can get the original via abandonware sites making an emulated snes version moot...Don't get me wrong I loved my D&D WOtES on the genesis (Emu'd now) but I'd much rather have the original, but then again, what ever keeps the boat floating. ;)

Yeah, I'm a bit of an oddball when it comes to these things. Plus for some reason trying to emulate the DosBox version is extremely flickery. RtC has a weird lag bug on my machine and CSB-Win doesn't properly support fullscreen.

I also like the fact that I can play it on my iPhone.

I first played this on the SNES to. That being said for my last playthrough I've gone with the Amiga version, take a little more effort to get an emulator and such, but it is generally regarded as the best version. (By Petri no less!) :)

there is this version as well, but not been updated for a long time, not sure how stable it is, I played it a bit, and seems to be ok

Could maybe use Dos Box.
