Looks like a room in my work in progress...only it's not obvious at first that that's what it is.

I was thinking of this as well, could be used for other interesting stuff too. (my current -- first -- project actually has a room bit like this)

Another way to do a random dungeon layout is to code it with a text generator -- since the maps itself are in fact, text files. But I wouldn't have the expertise...
