Getting that DM feeling.

I have been trying to capture that cold, spooky feeling that I use to get from Dungeon master which somehow was missing in Grimrock. And then purely by accident I found something that has done a great deal to capture this feeling. I muted the ambient and music. Just like magic I am getting that cold, spooky feeling of Dungeon master. Cool or whatzee?

Interesting that lack of sound in this case actually triggers your mind to imagine certain things more than specific sounds do. :o

It makes a lot of sense. Before it was very noisy down there with all sorts of screams, drips, bangs and scratches. It was a bit like being at a disco.
Now all I hear is my party's footfall and the movement of the actual monster somewhere in the darkness ahead...........Booooooooooo!!

Hiya DL.

Almost human must have thought this themselves, to but the option there to mute ambient and music. Personally it has increased the games pleasure factor by 10. I mean to finish it this time around. ;)

Oh no...
I got really far and was doing so well when I decided it was time to save the game. But instead of saving I loaded a old game. Now I have to do it all over again.
Excuse me while I go and weep myself to sleep.

Yes I did, but that was a even earlier save. Not to worry I will pick it up again tomorrow, but this time I will be very careful when I save, also I will save more often, that should do the trick. ;)
