Environmental Weapons

Hey, all. I just signed up for the forums, but I've been looking forward to the game for a while. I loved Dungeon Master and Dungeon Master II back in the day.

I was looking at some screenshots of the game's maps and I noticed that doors are located on the edges of tiles rather than in the middle of tiles themselves! This would seem to imply that you can't close doors on monsters (or yourselves). That's a perfectly reasonable design choice, but one of the things I loved about Dungeon Master was the ability to use different aspects of the environment as weapons. I'm assuming you can drop non-flying monsters down pits in Grimrock, but other than that, are there any other environmental weapons?

I'd imagine that any traps that throw fireballs/arrows/etc could just as well hit a monster as your party if they happened to be in the field of fire.

Hmm... actually can you drop flying enemies down pits?

I don't think so (it can be seen in reviews)

If you look at Dungeon Master you'll notice that even "flying" enemies would trigger pressure plates.... kinda funny.

I'm actually glad that this game doesn't feature doors as the best weapon in the game.
