My game won't launch

I bought the game a few days after the release on steam and i haven't played it since. I just downloaded it again and every time i launch it (on steam), nothing happens(I can tell something is loading for about 5 seconds and then nothing happens). I restarted steam, my computer and uninstalled it. Still nothing. I looked around on steam forums and google but i just decided to post here because i'm really confused. I hope someone can help, thanks!

maybe direct x or else visual basic c++ redistributable
