Combat questions
Combat questions
Looking forward to the game. But it looks like the combat will be kind of basic. All 4 characters firing off there combat at the same time. I am not sure exactly how this is going to work. But from the videos I have seen. It looks like the whole party is just attacking and moving as a group. 1 person, 4 people. In this case it really does not seem to matter.
I am sure I will love the game.,,however.

Re: Combat questions
Based on your title, I thought you would have a question but I'm not sure what your question is.
The party does attack and move as a group. Imagine them all shackled together. Their combat fires off when you click their attack button or on the runes to cast a spell, I don't believe the devs have said there is an auto-attack or "all attack" button.
You may love it, you may not. It's the first in the genre in a while, and from reviews it appears to be fairly true to the style.

Re: Combat questions
They move as a group, but do not attack as a group. Some of the older games had a one button thats makes all members attack at the same time, but my understanding is Almost Human have stuck to the old Dungeon Master ways (which i am happy about) where you attack by clicking weapon/fire off spell for each member rather than all at once.dbgager wrote:Looking forward to the game. Re: Combat questions
I guess it was more of a concern...than a question. I will be happy if it is like the 2nd poster stated. Where you have some control of who in your group attacks rather than just being a group attack.

Yes, this is how the combat works.dbgager wrote:I guess it was more of a concern...than a question. I will be happy if it is like the 2nd poster stated. Where you have some control of who in your group attacks rather than just being a group attack.

Re: Combat questions
This kind of question could have easily been answered by looking at any single video or taking seconds out of your day to check out Dungeon Master.
Re: Combat questions
It could have but this is a forum for asking such questions if they would rather, some people have slow dl rates and it takes forever for them to load a game play video, some people may not use youtube and such all that much. I for one believe if someone as a question they should post it here and be answered, not be talked down to because they could have found the answer other ways.HeavyMetalMonk wrote:This kind of question could have easily been answered by looking at any single video or taking seconds out of your day to check out Dungeon Master.
The job of this forum and the community should be to inform and educate prospective customers, to help promote the game so almost human does well and make us more games. If you do not want to help answer questions then don't, but talking down to people will likely drive them and possible lurkers of the forum away who might still be undecided as to weather to buy the game or not.

Re: Combat questions
Fair enough. It's not like I haven't seen worse topics pop up.
Re: Combat questions
While a group attack button would make things easier, certain abilities and skills determine when a party member can attack after the most recent attack so with a single group attack you would have available attacks for certain party members waiting for the slowest attack to become available. This is why it is best to have separate attacks. it also gives the player the option to switch up the individual attacks instead of just using the same ones over and over during a fight.
