Is it possible to save a project as a different name?

Not currently. This is probably because the save location would be limited to the same folder as the original file.

..Hard to say.
I think so. I just copied my dungeon file and renamed it. It opens normally.

question is can you modify it and then modify the copy and have 2 different versions? and would it register as 2 different versions on Steam?

You can only save as the dungeon_editor file you're currently working with. So if you save one and want to work on the other version, you would have to open the other before you start saving changes.

i figured that but the copy would be a different name. so say you make a dungeon with the old normal dungeon set then you make one about the past version with your clean dungeon set, this method should be a quick and effective way of essentially cutting and pasting the dungeon.

I see no reason why it shouldn't work. It'd just be a matter of changing decorations to the alternate wallset after that.
I would test it but I'm packing up my Golden Statues and Diseased Monsters packs. :3

Yeah, it works fine, I didnt end up with 2 dungeons, and 2 mod_assets, but I completely Renamed the Dungeon, and Re-wrote the description. I hadnt even renamed the "mydungeonname" folder and it worked fine because the .dat starts inside that folder anyway.

Thanks guys, I renamed the folder and the ".dungeon_editor" file and it all works good. I really didn't want to blindly try it in case I couldn't load it again for some reason but it's all good.
