I am running Grimrock through CrossOver and I would like to know how to install Modding files correctly. If I put a mod file in the root directory with the core "grimrock.dat" file it does not show up in the > custom dungeon > choose dungeon; directory. Is there a folder with a naming syntax that the Grimrock uses to recognize where mod files are stored.

You can. There should be a Documents/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock/Dungeons directory in your home directory (i.e. full path is /Users/thomson/Documents/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock/Dungeons for user thomson). I put my DAT files there and it just works. This directory was created during Grimrock installation under Crossover, I just put extra files there.

Speaking of Grimrock running on cross-over, are you able to launch editor? When I chose "crashes for me with the following error:

Code: Select all

D3DError - CreateAdditionalSwapChain failed: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE

I tried to find the information you outlined - no luck. If you can point me from the bottle "Drive C:" that would be great. The two root folders off of my Drive C: are "program files" and users

FYI: My program also crashes when I try to load the dungeon editor
