Missing ceiling roots?

Playing through the official Grimrock dungeon I noticed some of the roots hanging from the ceiling in places are quite long. Much longer than ceiling_root_1 through 3 in the level editor.
Am I overlooking these assets or are they just not there for use?

I don't remember seeing that anywhere during my re-creation, can you tell me exactly where?

The first few levels have some in various areas. Probably around the Herders where there's plenty of wall vines too.

The ceiling roots in the main dungeon are identical to those that are available in the editor.

yes, I painstaking placed every last vine and ceiling root where there was one originally and I never noticed any unusually long ones, but it's possible I missed something. Could you list one or two precise locations on the map, x/y coordinates or exact tile descriptions (such as "two steps south of the crystal, on the east side"), then I can double check my work!

At the first level turn right at the "Heal My Sight" puzzle. Just before the portcullis there's some really long roots hanging down.
Edit: Here's a
screenshot. My back is towards the portcullis. Notice how far down the roots go.

Thanks for that, I appreciate the effort. Those are the same roots "dungeon_ceiling_root_1", so it must be that you have seen them in different settings or something so that they just look longer than you remember. That's basically the only version the original game used anyway, I don't think I ever saw a 2 or 3, but I may have missed it as they are much smaller.
It's also possible that you feel like these look longer because they are not against a wall as they must be when you place them in the editor. What you need to do is just place against a wall then rotate them into place in the open air, which will give the appearance of being longer I think.

I reproduced that area in the editor to make a screenshot proving I was right. But I must be going insane from excessive dungeon editing or something because I found it was exactly the same as the screenshot from the original dungeon.
Sorry if my ramblings caused confusion. Apparently that's what happens to you when your dungeon grows beyond 12 floors.
