Okay, got a bit of a curveball for u guys. I'm building a single floor for the CFD project, about 85% done. Just need to add objects for visuals, script the exit area, and implement the changes from the playtesters. I just got back my playtesting notes from Ancylus and a buddy over on Nexus named Flohaxn, aannnnd my video card died. Terminal. Poof. Cannot run the game or editor.(It's like, 4 years old so guess i should have seen it coming). Being a single father of two, at christmas time, I dont think I'll get back up until the new year. I really want the CFD project to be a success, so I'm kicking around the idea of asking if anyone would be willing to finish the floor for me. The beta is over on my HH2 page at the nexus if you wanna see what you would be getting into. I have 2 messages with playtesting notes I will forward (Those guys are really awesome when you say "Here, break this"). I'm guessing it's maybe an hour of work (Which we all know means 2-3 hours, inevitably). I wouldn't even mind creative changes (I trust pretty much all of you to be, you know awesome at this). I just wanna get it in, and look forward to collaborating/sharing ideas with someone to make it happen

Thanx!

That sounds pretty bad, happened to me as well twice already. I know it sounds idiotic, but did you try this:
http://www.addictivetips.com/hardware/f ... g-in-oven/
When my old 8800GTS died (and it was completely dead, just a piece of scrap metal that didn't do anything anymore) I was so desperate that I tried it - and it worked. It
really worked, I couldn't believe it. I have to say that after 2 weeks the card 'died' again, I put it back into the oven and it worked for another week, then I had a new card. So it's probably not something that will repair your card so you can use it for another 4 years. But it's definitely worth a try, especially in your situation.
I have currently my hands full, but I hope someone else will help you out in case my suggestion doesn't work.

Thanx phitt! Don't know if I'm to that level of frustrated, yet. If I cannot get a plan b before I go creatively insane I sure might haveta try it, tho! Brodie has already playtested an earlier version of the map for me, and has offered to help me get it finished. So, hopefully it's gonna work out. Thanx again

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, msyblade.
Just make sure you don't use microwave oven for this experiment. On the other hand, if you do make sure you post the video on youtube

Neikun, even if you had 5 minutes away from work, I would truly prefer you to do your thing and make all my future mods better

I just cannot imagine making an entire dungeon without using some of your assets. Hopefully, I will never need to imagine it :)I wanna extort Daniv to release a wallset a month, too

Skuggs is just blowing UP right now, . . .point being, there are some creators around here that contribute so much more to this entire vehicle we have, than one dungeon (or floor, in this case). I would love to get your keen eye for aesthetics to make a pass through the early HH3 and send me notes when I'm back up and running tho!

I'm flattered. You could email me a link to download it (or pm me) and I could try to have a look/tinker. But I just don't want to promise anything.
With work as it is, I'm typically spending only 4 hours awake at home.
